Ronn's Story
My greatest accomplishment so far has been traveling to China and meeting my wife Xu and her family.
She and I had actually met online but later I learned at first I was talking to her mother (lucky I kept it clean).
Xu's mother wanted to find her daughter a husband but Xu wasn't interested. She had a good life in Shenzhen. For those who don't know Shenzhen is the birthplace of Chinese capitalism and Xu's life was very much like our own here in America. She had a good office job, her own car, and newly built apartment. this in my own life, having these things really become hollow shells of existence without someone to share the days with.
Her mother went to a internet company and printed several profiles from the web site I was on, mine among them.
She took them to her daughter and as you would expect she didn't want anything to do with it. But being a good Chinese daughter she obliged her mother and choose the one with kind eyes as she would tell me later.
We exchanged emails for about a year until I could get the time and money to travel and meet them.
