Ronnie's Story

After high school I went to work in a few machine shops. In 1974 I got a wild hair to see the country so off I went I travled around the United States ended up in Arkansas city Kansas went to work for a roofing company that took me all over Kansas Texas Oklahoma and Colorado I got married in 1975 to a girl from Ponca City in 1976 we had a son which I got full custody of after we divorced in 1977. After living in Kansas for Two years and being married for 1 1/2 years I came back home. I continued to roof. While roofing I learned to drive simi trucks and became a roofer and truck driver and got married to a girl from lakeview Kelly Down. Kelly and I moved to Houston in 1980 my Daughter was born and i did roofing. While in Houston I met Billy Gibbons ZZ Top and the producing manger for the tv series life and times of Grisley Adams and roofed Farra Facuett's mom and dad's house spoke briefly to Ryan O'neil didn't get the chance to see Farra. I moved back home 1982 my wife gave birth to our last baby which was a boy named after me. 1984 I went over the road trucking hauling...Expand for more
oversized loads for Blue Diamond trucking. 1986 I realized I was missing my kids growing up and went back to roofing. In 1995 I went back to school at TJC for computer programer. In the summer of 1996 We lost our home due to a fire we then moved to Saint Paul Minn. We moved back to tulsa in 1997. After roofing for 25 yrs. I hurt my back went through 3 back surgerys after the third surgery I give up roofing. In 2000 I went to work for Storey Wrecker untill 2007. I then went to work for Mid-Cont. concrete. worked there untill 2009 when I ruptured 2 disc in my neck. Now I am on dissability and just kinda do what I want to do. I took up playing guitar I also started restoring a1972 MG Midget and do yard work such as growing vegtables. I did live out by lake Keystone for 30 yrs. had 5 acres land which got to be hard on my back. After the back surgerys I moved back to town in a house with a little yard and Kelly and I have been together since 1978 and I am sure we will be together till 2078. Steve Carroll snd i still keep in touch and play guitar.
