PASTRAN-BUTLER's Story
Well, since Montgomery Blair, I went to college as a pre-med major; didn't get to finish my degree because I wasn't into the pre-med thing an all; I was just doing it because my mom made me. But what I really wanted to do, what I dreamed of when I was 17 was to live in Manhattan, in a nice condo overlooking Central Park, and work for a top notch company on Wall Street. This didn't happen until a few years later when I met what I though was the love of my live. I got married, had 2 wonderful kids, traveled all over the world (he was in the military). During all this, I managed to finish my bachelors, was took the LSAT and was accepted to two law schools--one in Texas the other in Arizona. After 20+ years away from my roots in Silver Spring, I came back to a place I hardly recognize, but full of memories...good ones, and some heartbreaking ones. Got divorced after 21+ years; heartbroken. Still looking for the special one who can mend my heart. I'm currently in a relationship I call better than nothing...but he's a great guy. Currently working for Georgetown University Hospital as an administrator...I love my job! Both of my children have long graduated..my son graduated from UMd in 2003 w/honors and a double major...what a braniac! He got mar...Expand for more
ried last year to his high school sweetheart...a phD candidate..can you believe that? My babygirl graduated last year from Penn State w/a major in PreMed.
Update: I moved to Savannah Georgia on November 2010 after finding connecting with my high school sweethear. don't know if any one knew him back then, but we were sweethearts in 1976 and were separated by destiny. Thirty four years later, we reconnected through this website, My life has changed radically and for the better. I moved to Savannah in November 2010, got my Masters in Healthcare Administration, did a lot of thinking, relaxing, and spend a lot of time getting to know my highschool sweetheart. He proposed to me in 2011, set the date for 2016; decided that he was my true north and married him. We had a beach weeding..so romantic and wonderful. While I was getting my masters he was getting his JD. I got my masters in 2016 and he got his JD in 2017. We moved back to Maryland (Baltimore) because jobs in Georgia are scarce. We moved in Dec 2017 and have not looked back. I am now working for a great healthcare system (MedStar Health as a Corporate Internal Auditor) and loving it. He tood the Maryland Bar in Feb and just found out he passed. This is our time and we are not stopping.
