Rosalie's Story
Life
In a nutshell: graduated from Southern Oregon State in 1972, went to UW in Seattle for library grad school in 1974, decided it was a bad fit, went to work as a word processor and later into legal word processing. Lived in Seattle until 1994, "retired" to Newport on the Oregon coast for a couple years, moved to Portland in 1996, went to work in a law firm as a temp and stayed for 16 years. I retired in August 2012 and returned to Medford. It's so great to be near my family again.
Animals are my major passion. Currently I have 5 cats. I'm very concerned about wildlife survival and animal welfare and since the Dubya administration I've become an activist on these and other progressive and environmental issues.

y, I guess I'm a generalist because I love books and reading about a wide variety of subjects. If anybody reads this who knew me in high school, yes, I've become a fiction writer in a very minor way and am perpetually working on a novel -- or at least thinking about working on it.
I'm fascinated by art and collect wildlife art occasionally. I also collect glass, which I find so beautiful that I can't settle on collecting one particular kind. For years I listened to mostly opera and other classical music from the Romantics forward, but now I find that I'm listening to and collecting mostly film soundtracks.
I enjoy traveling and haven't done nearly enough of it yet. My most memorable trip was a three-week tour of Kenya in 1980.
