Rosanna's Story
Hi Ya'll! Bon Jour and Jak se mas?
You've come a long way, baby! Some of you may remember that my first job was at Dimanan Osteopathic Clinic while I was still attending Carnegie Institute of Detroit (Medical Technology). I got paid $1.80/hr. to type, file, and assist the doctor. What I remember most about it is that I hated the site of blood. I quit when I got married in the fall of 1972 and moved to Washington, D.C. (Columbia, Maryland), then (Atlanta, Macon), Georgia, (Albion), Michigan, (Columbus), Indiana, (Newton),Iowa and finally, (Austin, Houston, Dallas), and now Lakeway, Texas. I married a tall, dark and handsome (still) City Planner! In fact, I met him about a month before our high school graduation at my cousin's house. He recently retired after serving many years as the Development Services Director for the City of Horseshoe Bay, TX.
Early on we followed an organic, athletic lifestyle and continue to reap the benefits of great health. Eric, now 70, continues to play full court basketball. I love to dance - Texas two step, country waltz, east coast swing, polka, salsa, cha-cha and even a bit of square dancing - although that is not real popular here in this area of Texas. I also enjoy reading Jane Austin style novels, taking Conversational French, own an oboe -- on my "bucket list" to learn to play christmas songs. For a number of years I owned several American Walking Ponies and bred and showed them until I decided to go to college. The decision to sell them was and is st...Expand for more
ill a bit painful. Our new addition and wonderful companion, Eva - a retired French Bulldog show dog, shares our home in a resort community by Lake Travis about 20 miles west of Austin, TX in the Texas Hill Country.

Troy is an IT team specialist for the very large Harris County keeping the computer systems upgraded and running. Gabriel, our grandson (2001), graduated from the Nuclear Engineering program at the Goose Creek, SC Navy Base. Now getting ready for deployment on the SSN Colorado, nuclear attack sub, at New London Naval Base, Groton, CT. We are so proud of him. God bless him for his service.
I went back to college from 1984 - 1991 and have a B.S. in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. I attend post-graduate courses in Chiropractic Health including Neurology, Nutrition, Rehab and am a member of an International Chiropractic research group associated with the Total Body Modification form of Applied Kinesiology. I enjoy going to seminars, symposiums and participating with my peers in the discussion, demonstration and workshop of innovative Chiropractic methods and procedures. I got to practice my french while attending a workshop in Antibes - Juan Les Pin in the Cote d'Azur on the French Riviera. Now retired,, I maintain a part-time private concierge style practice.
Would love to hear about how my classmates lives have unfolded.
All good things always.
