Rosanne's Story

I married my high school sweet heart Ray Larson, class of 60. We will celebrate 50 years in Dec. We have 6 children and 17 grandchildren with 1 great grand son. All but 1 son live in So. CA, but the other son lives in Yuma so they all get together often and Ray and I travel often to see them from our home in Montana. Ray was a Marine when we married so I learned to be a military wife during the Viet Nam era. Later He went to school to become a minister and I was a stay at home mom. while we were at seminary I had our 6th child. After a few years in Wisconsin as a perish pastor Ray reentered the military as an Army Chaplainfor the next 20 yrs. I learned more about the military life and eventually became a trianer to teach other mil. families how to live in the Army life. I also had many other opportunities to be active by running a reading tuter program for the families of ele. school age students. I worked for the healt...Expand for more
h dept in Kansas as a home visitor to new mothers. Now in Montana I am a substitute teacher and in Direct sales. Never finished college but made sure that our 6 children did. I wanted our 4 daughters to have choices in life. They have all been stay at home wives but also have careers. Being a mom has been my favorite part of life. Through the years I developed a love of cooking and baking. I taught my self to be a cake decorator which came in handy when we lived in Germany as the Aamericans wanted to celebrate special occassions with an American cake. I have taught "cooking on a budget "classes as well. Ray and I live on 5 acers in the Bitter Root Valley of MT. It is beautiful and peaceful. Ray has retired from the parish but we are very busy in the Lords work and travel all over MT. I was a Chicago kid but I love country life and Montana is now my home. I am looking forward to seeing my classmates at the reunion.

One of our beautiful sunsets tonight
Welcome Spring
At least sixteen scraggly looking deer in yard today. Shedding winter coats. Guess our lawn will get fertilized.
I love snow. But it is March 18 and I am getting tired of winter. Thinking Spring
Our yard tonight as it begins to rain
So.beautiful. I used to tease Ray about all the many trees that he planted. He would be so happy to see it now. He would probably be asking me to come out to see somethig He would take
My new family member will be in my arms on March 24. Thinking of naming him Red.
From my house tonight
Going up my driveway. The beautiful moon and Ray's flag.
Our shed and tree that our grandchildren helped plant many years ago
And you can see the valley below
I am so blest this is front yard today
Planting garden . Finally warming up. Snowed last week. Makes the mountains beautiful. And hope it helps to alienate forest fires this summer. God is so good. Our world is so beautiful
Tonight from our little hill in Montana

Sending you a no mask smile. We all have had frustrated times lately and maybe great sadness, or fear or helpless. We wear masks and stay away from people we cannot see a smile on people's face that often encourages hope.
