Rosie's Story
Remembering being raised in our beautiful Huntington Park, life was so simple then. The life long friends that I’m so fortunate and blessed to still have. Also blessed to have reconnected with some others.
My sadness is to have lost recently, my husband, was also a schoolmate. It was my pleasure to have taken care of him until his passing.
John, a Vietnam vet, with a distinguished medal as an Army Medic. He later finished his schooling and became a mechanical engineer.
After living in California all my life
,I moved to beautiful southern Utah 19 years ago. Now I’m faced with yet another decision. Well such is life, ever changing.

battered women and children shelter as a Spanish interpreter and in a Christian women's organization as founder and president.
I have four children and 6 grandchildren. I took an early retirement from the school district last year to take care of my husband. After a short retirement I returned to the school system to work with ESL children, which I love doing.
As soon as the housing market improves, I hope to sell my home here and move back to CA to be closer to my family.
My memories of HPHS are still so vivid. The open campus, strolling the quad at lunch while listening to the campus music station. I remember my friends, teachers and especially Mr. Shambaugh, my counsellor.
