Hey everyone. How are y'all doing? It's been a long time since I've seen many of you. My husband, Mike, and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in June of 2006. We went on a cruise to the Bahamas, what great fun. We have 2 daughters, Emily is 22 and just got married in May and Lisa is just about 21 and is still living at home. Home by the way is Orange City, FL. Where is Orange City, you may ask? We are half way between Daytona Beach and Orlando. We have lived here for 1 1/2 years. Mike was ready to get away from the cold and snow, so found a job with the power company down here. He had worked for BGE for 18 years, got tired of the 1 1/2 - 2 hour commute from Hanover to the south side of Baltimore. He's very happy here and me, well, I'm trying real hard. winters are pretty nice, though. We only had a couple of days when the morning temps went down into the low 30's. By afternoon we were back in the 60's. Not to hard to get used to that. So far, no hurricanes since we've been here. Thank God for that. I'm sure that at some point, I'll have to deal with it. I am currently a stay at home wife. I lost the part time job I had at Jo-Ann Fabrics when the closed the store in November of last year. I had only worked there for 6 months. I'm now working at Sam's Club. I love sewing and crafting and reading. I own 7 sewing machines, 3 of which I use on a regular basis. The other 3 are antiques, one was my grandmothers treadle machine. Guess that's about it for now. Sure am happy I found this. Seeing some the names here has brought back many good memories.
