Rosemarie's Story
I moved away from The Bronx in 1972 to Ridgefield, NJ and still here. I was working for General Motors in NYC where I met my husband George Forte. We married and had two beautiful children but he passed away in June, 1995. I have been working nearly all my life so I am ready to retire! But cannot just yet. I often think back to the days at Walton HS and the #4 train that got me there and the boys that went to DeWitt Clinton..Those were fun times. I dont remember too many girls from school but I does stick out in my mind. Her name was Joyce Badowsky..I think that is how she spelled it. We were real cut ups in Spanish class. We were so bad the Spanish teacher wouldnt even give us our final exam. So...Expand for more
we sat in study hall till the test was over. And there was another girl I remember. Frances Boscarino...I took her brother to the senior prom. I think his name was Sandy. I remember music appreciation and Ms.Shein..OMG..she had eyes in the back of her head! And she never wore a bra either! She really could of used one!! I also remember assembly hall where me and some other girls were asked to sing "Little Darlin" My siging career ended that day on the stage when I really messed up that song big time. But I never sang before an audiance before so I sort of choked up and forgot the words to the 2nd chorus. Any, I had fun reminising about the good old days. Hope someone reads this and remembers me!!!
