Rosie's Story
After I suffered domestic violence from my second husband, I went back to college, got my bachelor's degree in psych, then to the National Victim Assistance Academy at CSU-Fresno. I've been active since 1985 in California's non-profit world of Domestic Violence Victim Assistance Programs, and the Rape Crisis Center Programs. e. At 64, I'm looking at a few more good years in the office, then I'll hand off the baton to the next one with a passion for social justice and retire.
I have 3 great kids, and 8 grandchildren-the most beautiful, talented, smartest, and etc.
Recently I became engaged, after a dry spell of nearly 25 years. My intended and I have learned how to laugh at the crap the world hands out, and embrace the fun stuff.
