Rosie's Story
Workplace
I started out my career as a secretary at The College of the Holy Cross. I then got a job as admin. assist. at Assumption College for the Vice President of Development, which is what lead me to a path of fundraising.
After working in three different colleges doing fundraising since 1987, and one year as a fundraiser at a YMCA....I wanted OUT of fundraising! I now work as an Office Administrator at a stent research lab at Mass...Expand for more
General Hospital. I LOVE not having to wear suits anymore! Jeans, sneakers....I love it! I'm not really utilizing my talents as much, especially since I have a Master's Degree in Public Administration, but I am loving the less stressful environment. No more budgets. No more phone calls asking people for money. No more long drawn out yearly work plans. And I feel like I'm making more of a difference since it's medical research.
