Hey Guys!! It sure don't feel like 40! Just wanted to get you up to speed on what's happened in my life, Reader's Digest version. Just after graduation, I headed off to the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Our first, Jennifer Lyn, was born December 1st 1969. I resigned the Academy at the end of the first, year. What a wonderful experience the Academy was! Loraine Mendel and I married on June the 13th 1970. I came back to the high desert, and went to work for her half brother, Albert Mendel, who owned Desert Construction with Jack Cooley. Sandy Cooley's dad. I attended Victor Valley Junior College for the next year. We moved to Bakersfield in 1971 in order for me to continue my college education, the year Kathryn Ann, our second was born, October 3rd of that year.
