Roy's Story
Today is the 29th of Jan 2017...and like... that is a century since I left high school...lol... I joined the RCAF out of high school. I was posted to CFB Winnipeg from 69 t0 71, but all my years were spent outside of Manitoba. I visited often, but as everyone knows , we all move on, we loose touch, And it's difficult to reconnect. We all have new friends, and different lives. And then all of a sudden we are a grandfathers...holy moly. And that's where I'm at now. My wife passed away years ago and I live alone, well, not alone actually, I live with my trusty pal, a poodle named "Jack." th, 1963, goodness, that works out to fifty-four years. That's a lifetime. But I still have family in St. Boniface, and I do visit once and a while. But as you know, everyone has moved on. So how does one connect with people from half a century ago. Are they still alive, ha ha? Strange but true. And like me, so many have taken up roots elsewhere. I do surf the Net, although one needs the proper tag to get on to someone's page. And I have one friend, Sam Sue Maclintoc, probably didn't spell that correctly.
