One of Roy's favorite quotes is:""When Happiness comes to call, always give it a comfortable seat." - Fezziwig (Charles Dickens) ___________________________ "Where the heart is without fear and the head is held high Where knowledge is free Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls Where words come out from the depths of truth Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sands of dead habit Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake." - Rabindranath Tagore ___________________________ "It is a heretic that makes the fire, not she which burns in it." - William Shakespeare ___________________________ "First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a communist; Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a trade unionist; Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, ”because I was not a Jew; Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me." - Martin Niemller __________________...Expand for more
_________ "Everything is always going somewhere." - George Malley, played by John Travolta, in Phenomenon. ___________________________ "If John Cage stands silently in a forest and there's no one there to hear it, is it music?" ___________________________ "A human being is part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. "This decision is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation, and a foundation for inner security." - Albert Einstein ___________________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin ___________________________ "In the best of times our days are numbered anyway, and so it would be a crime against nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were designed in the first place: the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to hit a ball, and to bounce a baby." - Alistair Cooke ___________________________ "How happy I could be with either of these two, if both of them just went away." - Groucho Marx". More about Roy:"I live in Southwest Florida with my beloved wife Be, two cats and a dog. Boarding a few miles away is Be's horse. I am Artistic Director of the Bion Cantorum, and Choir Director at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church. Life is good!".

Our hearts are broken. On Sunday morning, our beloved Winnie, my “other mom,” went to a better world. Mysteriously, at some time that morning, I felt my lips move involuntarily, and heard myself speak aloud the word, “Mommy

The classic red telephone booths still abound, but now there are these, too!

Westminster Abbey, again too big for my camera!
So much amazing detail; beauty of such perfection!
