Roy's Story
I suppose in High School my two most memorable activities were: 1) President of Mixed Choir during my senior year. I was there at the competition when our Faculty Choir Master lost his false teeth at the grand finally of the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel. We were lucky the lowest grade they could give us was a "D". Actually I don't know what the grade was. I left hoping they marked us absent. And (don't fault me on punctuation / or spelling) . . . . . which for that matter leads me to a real problem with Gage Park High . . . they would not let me take typing cause I was a male . . PERIOD . . .moving right along . . .and 2) I had a job during high school which kept me from being involved with anything fun, and almost every other activity except Algebra, Chemistry, bla-ba- ...Expand for more
bla- ba ; and, " I accept this diploma in recognition of my 4 years of better than average attendance."
I don't remember much else: I'm kind'a hoping ya'll can fill in some of the blanks.
After high school : 2 1/2 years at IIT, US Navy - 7 years, 9 month, 14 days, 11 hours, 45 minute 37 sec approximately;
then 4 1/2 years University North Florida -Jacksonville Bachelors in Business /Masters in Management;
2 yrs.' Baptist Medical Center (Ass't Manager Materials Management) ; 3yrs Service Masters (Downers Grove Ill) as Director Central Services Development; Nursing Home Director Schaumburg Villages, Ill ; Manager of Westminster Towers, Life Care Facilities Orlando, Florida and; finally book keeper at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Homes, Orlando, Florida. Now retired South
