Ruben's Story
Life
Came from the Barrio called Salinas Park (Central Park)went on to high school at St. Mary's then onto college at Tempe-Az. State. While Attending College I worked for APS in the summers. After college I stayed with APS for 29 yrs. Later I finished working with So. West Gas Corp. in 1989. Retired at the age of 55. Now living in Scottsdale with my wife Pat F. Jones.
I'm still playing Senior Softball in Scottsdale. Also doing volunteer work with OLPH catholic church in Scottsdale.

high school there was Lowell Elementary School in South Phoenix where St. Mary's High School Baseball Varsity Coach Frank Franquero came for a visit to see me play some baseball and asked me to attend his school, which I did the following fall. When I got there they asked me to play the other sports and I did. That was the best move I ever made to attend ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL. 4 yrs of Varsity Baseball,3 yrs of Varsity Football and 2 yrs of Varsity Basketball earned me a Scolarship Arizona State at Tempe.
