Ruby's Story
Ruby is from Frankfort, Kentucky. Her schools include Harlan High School. She later attended Wesleyan College (English & Languages), University of Kentucky (Spanish Language). She headed the Los Angeles bureau of Copley News Service and worked at the San Diego Union and Lexington Herald-Leader before joining the Kentucky Department of Education as a writer. She also taught English as a Second Language part time after her retirement.

TV shows she likes include The Colbert Report, Newshour with Jim Lehrer, the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. She has a son living in Kentucky, a daughter in Florida, and a grandson attending Georgetown College.
