Rumi's Story
Life
I started my schooling in Ft. Dix, NJ (Kindergarten & 1st grade). Then it was on to Ft. Campbell, KY. Where I spent 2nd through 4th grade. And met my childhood friend (who's dad was transferred to Hawaii 2 years later) Melissa Johnson!
I was always pretty fearless, outgoing and generally a very happy young girl. My time in Hawaii (based at Schofield Barracks) and attending Wheeler Elementary and Wahiawa Intermediate was probably one of the most amazing years of my life. (5th grade through 8th grade). My freshman year of high school was spent in Ft. Ord, CA at Salinas High School. Not the most glorious time of my educational career, but I did meet a great friend, Elizabeth (Liz) Montana.
Sophomore through Senior year was finished at Palm Bay High in Melbourne, FL. School was always very easy for me...not much socializing, but I manage to have high school sweetheart, that I stayed with for 22 years and married for 14 years. Unfortunately, not everything in real life is a fairytale.
