Russ's Story

I grew up in Southern California and have lived in Holdrege, Nebraska (where no one locks their doors) since 1969. I'm married and have two kids and three grandkids. I graduated from William S. e and I enjoy traveling, usually to Colorado's Western Slope to visit my Wife's family but have also been to Spain, England, Mexico, Dubai, the Caribbean and lately back to Santa Clarita for our 50th (and my first!) class reunion. I love photography and playing guitar in my church's praise band, as well as an occasional (actually rare) gig as a folksy "Americana" type singer-songwriter.

Iguana at Tulum.  These guys were everywhere, almost like chipmunks in the Rockies.  This one was about two feet long, pretty typical for the Iguanas that we saw hanging around the ruins.

Re-boarding the Conquest at Grand Cayman.  Because of the reef surrounding the island the ship could not get any closer to shore, so we had to take a shuttle boat (called "tendering" in sailor's lingo) to shore and back.
