Where to start... after high school I went to UCSB, which I left for a year after the Bank of America was burned down. The best thing about that period was that I met my wife to be, Christy (just celebrated our 36th anniversary). She was the girl downstairs on Del Playa, and there were two other marriages between the upstair guys and the downstairs girls. I graduated in poli sci by defaultin 1974, worked in DC during Watergate for a Congressman on the House Judiciary Committee, then went on to law school at UC Berkeley where I graduated in 1977. I worked for the California Attorney General's office in the environemental and consumer affairs division and then practiced law for a couple of years in a private firm doing civil litigation... then I got the sailing bug. My wife and I lived on a sailboat in the Berkeley marina during law school, and decided to take a break from the legal practice and buy a sailboat in Fort Lauderdale. We sailed through the Bahamas, England, Spain, Portugal, and up and down the East Coast of the US for a couple of years before settling down in the Florida Keys.
