Military
I joined the Louisiana National Guard back in 1983 to pay for college and served in the 769th Combat Engineers as an electrician until 1989. I was deployed for a short couple of months at RAF Chessington in London (1987) retrofitting bomb shelters and emergency hospitals. I then joined the 415th Military Intelligence Battalion in 1989. alkans deployed as a Tactical Human Intelligence Team (THT) NCOIC. My deployment began in March of 2003 and lasted through June 2004. I am currently a SFC with 33 years of service. Did a one month stint at Graffenwoehr, Germany as an MI maneuver control cell NCO during exercise Urgent Victory/Unified Endeavor in July 2005. Served in the 62nd Civil Support Team during 2006-2007 and returned to the 415th MI BN in 2008. Did an OEF deployment in Afghanistan in 2011. Will likely stay in until at least April 2018. I retired from the Guard in March 2019 with 33 years combined service. I have been recruited to join an environmental consulting group after retirement.
