Our prairie dog died at the ripe old age of 9, new dogs (bichon and maltipoo), inherited mother-in-law's cat, travelled for two weeks to Provence (started at Nice and then went to Paris on the high speed train). Paris was great, and we found the people to be very friendly. Stayed at at a hotel across from the Louvre and walked all over the city and took a bus to Versailles for a day. My wife Marianne just became a grandmother for the second time. We are loving life in the Texas hill country (which is quite similar in climate and geography to Provence). I wish the best to all.
