Russell's Story
Life
After escaping from BPHS, I did time at the University of Pittsburgh, graduated in 1985, then headed west for post-graduate studies at UCLA. Taught there 3 years (figured out I DON'T want to be a teacher), then joined my current firm (a Top Five asset consulting company) in client service. I am now Vice President and Principal with my firm's Consulting Division (my office window looks out toward Malibu!). I'm married and living the California Dream-- house with pool and hot tub, friends to come over for BBQs, airport five minutes away to see the world (well, as often as possible to the Bay Area and Vegas)! t have missed it for the world. And no, I don't miss Bethel/Pittsburgh even a little bit (no more cold winters, a quick jaunt to surfing or desert hikes, older sister now living up in Mendocino County). We're getting older and our lives are populated by more and more ghosts, but overall life is INCREDIBLY good right now....
School
I think if I could, everything would have been different. But I won't dwell on that past business. Life right now-- far away from Bethel-- is just wonderful, so that's what matters. It's always nice to walk around the neighborhood and smell the star jasmine-- year-round. I hope everyone's life is as full and happy as mine.
