Ruth Emily Burgess's Story
I grew up in the country and consider that a privilege.... although I always envied my school friends who lived "in town." Friends were and still are vitally important in my life. My husband Floyd is my best friend ever, along with my sister Pamela who lives seven blocks from us.
I retired two years ago and love it. My husband is a pastor, and we are active in our church.
My friends at MHS are still important to me, and I enjoy so much the class reunions and catching up. Oh the many happy memories of my high school...Expand for more

UPDATE: My husband passed away in February 2014. He was a revered Pastor and served in the Killeen area 58 years. I was honored to serve with him and still attend the same church.
I haven't been to a reunion in several years and look forward to doing so soon. I only wish I were as faithful to keep in touch with my school friends as faithfully as she does.l She is a jewel.
I look forward to being in touch with everyone and reliving old times......and new ones as well,
