Ruth's Story
I was a daughter of Salvation Army Ministers and went to Sylvan Hills in 1974-75, 75-76, and my parents were moved in my senior year. So even though I graduated in Baltimore, Md, I have always considered Sylvan Hills my school. My buds were Rusty, Chris, Mike, Steve, Janice, I loved Sylvan Hills. I was the mascot, Suga bear. After we moved I went to college, then went into Training College with The Salvation Army (the last place I saw some of my friends I mentioned above). the ministry of The Salvation Army, lived all over. I divorced in 1996, I have a 23 year old son who just graduated from college with a degree in Journalism, and a 14 year old daughter(just like I was) who came along to try to save the marriage(but she saved me). I have since re-married and have 2 step-children, One is 33, and one is 29. My step-son works at Disney, and my step-daughter is a teacher. I have 2 wonderful grandchildren( I can't believe it)(inherited of course). Life is busy, but I still think about all of you often.
