Ruth's Story
I've had a great life with all the ups and downs, but I'd have to say being happy and content sums it up. Sam and I have been married 35 years. We have 2 children and one grandchild. I became a hairdresser after graduation, and worked part time until my children were in school. I then got a job with the Postal Service where I have been a rural carrier for 22 years. I love sitting on my deck watching a sunrise or a sunset. It is where I get too little time, but the time I get is soothing and much needed.

. From Christian, country, blues, rock, swing, to just the sounds of nature-it all finds a place in my life.
Life has been a spiritual journey for me, and one that continues to play itself out each and every day. I attend a non-denominational Christian church. My faith shapes the way I live each day, but not necessarily like a boom box, more like a quiet whisper that guides my steps and keeps me balanced.
When I think of the many people who have crossed my path over the years, I grin and wonder if they ever think of me. If so, I hope it is with a smile.
