Ruth's Story
Jack and I have traveled all over the World since 1992, because he's been Grand Sec'y and Business Manager for the Mason's of NH to the present. We've been to England, Scotland,Switzerland,Denmark,Austria,Italy,Germany,Spain,Brazil,Ireland
Paris,France,Baltic Sea,Copenhagen,Plus 5 Cruises, Hawaii,Alaska,The Islands, Bermuda several times. Plus many more Countries, too numerous to name.We've been in just about every big City in the U.S. for Conferences for the Mason's. I wish I had kept a journel over the years. We have personally met Danny Thomas,
Norm Crosby, John Glenn, plus many more famous people, who are all Mason's. I met the Duke of Kent in England in 1992, he is still the Grand Master of Mason's in England, also the Deputy Grand Master and Grand Sec'y. I've been to the White House 17 times during the Christmas Season on a private Tour. The Masononic wives always have a private Tour before it's opened to the public in the morning. We always went in a private entrance at 7:30 a.m. in the morning. We saw things in the White House that the Public do not get to see. 0,000 Mason's in the same room. They had 89 Countries represented that day and for the first time in Masonic History in England, they invited 500 women from the States and I was one of them. In fact, 3 of us from NH were interviewed by the BBC and I have the interview on a CD. I've been to all the Canadian Provinces for Masonry. This July, we go to Ontario for their Grand Lodge and the Queen of England will be in Toronto. We stay at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto and she stays there also, when she is in Toronto. She was there 2 weeks before we got there, the staff at the Hotel were still talking about her.
We've met some wonderful people in our travels and were still Friends with a lot of them. I keep pinching myself sometime and saying "Ruth, your still this little old hick from Salem, NH" then I say too myself, they all put their pants on the same way as everyone else.
We've been to some of those Countries several times for either Vacations or Grand Lodges or World Conferences. I guess I will have to go thru some of my stuff at home to remember every place we've been over the years. We've traveled so much that everything runs together.
