Life
Hi everyone. I'm living in Rye NY (Westchester County, north of NYC), after a few years in Washington D.C. with the US General Accounting Office after college. I stayed with that office when I moved to NY in 1972, with my husband who was exiting the Army (remember those days?) We lived in NYC for 3 years but decided we were not city folks and moved north.
Career-wise, in 1995 I moved from GAO to the Office of the Inspector General of the MTA in NYC. I retired from there as the Deputy Inspector General for Audit in August 2008. Both of these jobs were fascinating; I got to see and learn a lot about ho...Expand for more

Family-wise, my husband, two girls and a big dog kept me busy for years but now we are empty nesters. Eldest daughter is married and living in Boston (good location choice!) and second daughter is just finishing 3 years with the Peace Corps in Malawi, Africa. She promises to show up in Rye in Sept. 08...it will be nice to see her!
Health-wise I have been on kidney dialysis since the end of '08 but otherwise doing fine. Still exploring the hills and mountains of NY and New England and love visiting historic locations and seeing what's around the bend.
