Ruth's Story
Life
I am divorced and single ... with a beautiful daughter who has made me a Grandmother with 3 beautiful grandkids. I had my own baby ... an adopted adorable little 4# Yorkie whom I named Rocky who unfortunately passed away while I was in Daytona a few years ago. I have now adopted a precious little girl ... another little Yorkie whom I've named Millie (short for Camille). She is now my little baby.
I miss seeing old friends from school except for when the reunions roll around every 5 years. I guess that is why I enjoy planning and attending them so much. Just trying to bring old friends back together again who have lost touch with each other over the years. Reminiscing does the heart a lot of good. Like chicken soup for the soul. It keeps us young and gives us all things to remember and talk and laugh about.
1998 was a very bad year for me. I had a near death experience but I am back, fully recovered and am "reeking havoc" once again. I just thank the good Lord he wasn't really ready for me yet and gave me one more chance in this lifetime to live my life to it's fullest! Not many of us get that chance ... to start...Expand for more
over again... to change the things they did or didn't do in their lives. To correct their mistakes and live their life as there was no tomorrow, for we all know that time waits for no one and tomorrow comes all too soon.
I was in a lengthy relationship with a wonderful man whom I loved very much. I had dated him for a time before we graduated Patapsco back in 1969. And although we never really had the chance to develop our relationship then ..... fate had brought us back together again 30 some years later. I thought we had it all. Everything anyone could ever dream of. Then he died and my world came crashing down. Leaving me heartbroken and alone once again. I guess that is just how life works out.
The 45th Reunion was a blast. So nice to see everyone at the reunion. Lots of new faces that have never attended before. Hopefully, I will see all of you again in 2019 if we have our 50th Reunion, GOD willing.
I am now retired and living in Florida on the Nature Coast. The West Coast but not the panhandle. It is beautiful here and we don't have to shovel any SNOW ..... just sand!
