Ruth's Story
After graduation I moved to the Milwaukee area to attend school. I attended college for two years and had to leave for financial reasons. I then worked for a few years doing retail and finally landed a job with Ameritech. Boy was that a bad idea. They really treat their people badly. I left Ameritech in 1997 and got a job with Waukesha county and worked there for 9 years. 1995 and had my daughter in 2007. After she was born My husband and I decided one of us should stay home with her so I quit my job of almost 10 years and have been home with her ever since. I have to admit it was the smartest decision I have ever made. I loved my job and was good at it too, but I love watching her grow up so much more. I will be going back to school at Marquette University in September to get my business degree. I am hoping to get a job back in the criminal justice field when I am finished.
