Ruth Wilson:  

Life I stayed in Va. Beach until 1981. I married Jerry Wilson (a very handsome sailor) in 1965. We had 2 children, Michael and Madeline. I worked as a bookkeepper/Income Tax Consultant for several years.I started working for Sears as an Audit Clerk. When the opportunity to take training to become a Service Technician, I took the leap. I was the 1st woman to go on the road repairing major appliances in the Southern territory for Sears (there were women in the shops and working on TVs before me). We moved to WV when Jerry retired from the Navy. We both attended Fairmont State College and became teachers. I taught 1 year in Charleston, WV. We moved to North Carolina where we lived and taught for 5 years. We moved back to WV. I went to school again (at West Virginia University), then back into teaching. I currently live in White Sulphur Springs. I taught at Anthony Correctional Center for 10 years, and then in a Middle School (give me my prisoners any day!) for 6 years.
