Ruth's Story
Ruth is from Oak Park Heights, Minnesota. Ruth is married. Ruth's schools include Lincoln Community High School. After graduating from the Lincoln High School, I attended Mac Murray College for Women in Jacksonville, IL and then transferred to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating from the U of I., I taught music in the Farmer City, IL schools and then in Champaign, IL schools. I married Ed Jones in 1960 and we lived in Urbana, IL first, then in Champaign, IL. We have three children. The first one is a son, Charles, who is a lawyer in Minneapolis. Ed taught Electrical Engineering at Iowa State University in Ames, IA from 1966 until 2004. Charles, Cathy and Helene attended schools in Ames and graduated from Carlton College for Charles, Cathy from Iowa State University and Helene from Central College in Pella. IA. They all married people from MN and have lived in MN for several years, That is the reason we moved from Ames to Oak Park Heights, MN.
We've lived at Boutwells Landing, a Presbyterian Retirement Community, since 2006. Moved from Ames, IA to be near all of our children(3) and grandchildren(5). We are both very active at Boutwells Landing, at North Presbyterian Church and in the community.
