Sheila J.'s Story
Hello everyone! Hope your summer is wonderful and adventurous with lots of fun and great memories. Wish everyone well and that we all have a good year this year by keeping in touch and writing more often. Write a short message and I will check it out as soon as I am able. It is always good to hear from you all. May God bless you all this year....
Started to sing and dance at age 5 and started to play the piano at age 11. My first two pieces of music that I composed was at age 13. Will be studying an in-home music program which will help me learn more about composing music. Practice as often as I can and re-teaching myself new techniques.
For those of you who come by my profile...write a message...and I will write you back. I may be busy...but will write back as soon as is possible.
Recently moved from Boise, Idaho to Nampa, Idaho. I am enjoying my new home. Reside with my cat, Peekaboo. The weather here in Nampa, Idaho is nice and sunny.
Sharing good news...my daughter is pregnant with her first baby...my first grand child. I never thought that I would be a grandmother someday...WoW! What a surprise! My grandson is now a bit over four months old now...my he is growing!
I am a creative cook (from the Thompson Family Culinary School--LOL--it stays in the family!) and practice that everyday of my life...since age 8. For those of you who enjoy creative cooking...write me and let me know! We can exchange recipes, hints and tips.
Added pictures from my collection of abstract art that I did back in 2006. Do any of you enjoy drawing or painting abstract art and photography?...Let me know. Love to write to you and share them with you.
Married at age 20. Had 2 children....Expand for more
.they are grown. I divorced my first husband in 1993...still single. Played the piano and kept practice all these years...40+ years. Graduated at Napa Valley College with two Associate of Science Degrees. Graduated at a private college in Idaho.
I have lived in Mississippi, Texas, California and Idaho. I have traveled through New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and southern Canada. The scenery was beautiful.
I have played the piano for Queen of the Valley Hospital/Oakville Monestary yearly benefit, Oakville, CA; Junior Native Daughters Of The Golden West, Napa, CA; Napa Historical Society, Napa, CA; several schools; Boy Scouts Of America, Napa, CA; Napa Valley College choir; Boise Idaho State Veterans Home residents during their lunch time; family and friends throughout the years and other nursing homes.
At present, I practice playing the piano when I can. I have other hobbies which I keep up with. I enjoy sightseeing, movies, cooking, arts and crafts, bicycle riding, playing the piano and violin, dancing, potlucks and gardening. I used to be active with Kareoke...been a long time now.
Hope you all are healthy, happy and adventurous...keep writing. It would be great to hear from you all. I look forward to hearing from many of you when you visit my profile...have a great summer!
I always wanted to be a entertainer when I grew up. I will take the time to entertain only those who truly would like to listen.
To blow off steam and relax...I either take a walk, soak in a warm soothing shower, go see a movie or sit in front of my piano and play my feelings out through the piano music I choose to play. Music Therapy!
