Sallie's Story
I've been married to the same great guy for 35 years. We have one son and two young grandchildren. Being a grandma is the best part of life yet.
I'm a working retiree. After 22 years as a senior communcations specialist for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington, I'm freelancing from my home office now as a science writer. The freedom is wonderful--no managers!
So far, I've co-authored and published a text book entitled "Sentence Diagramming: A Step-by-Step Guide to Learning Grammar." I know, I know...you probably hated se...Expand for more
ntence diagramming. It has turned out to be a perfect way to teach grammar to engineers -- they think of it as a sentence equation and then it makes perfect sense. I wish there was a corresponding technique to help teach me algebra...
My second book will be published this June 2010, called "Going Critical: Why I Still Believe in Nuclear Energy." I am a co-author with my wonderful client, Bob Ferguson. He has worked in the field of nuclear energy since the early days of the Atomic Energy Commission.
Hope to hear from some of you.
