Sally's Story

I attended Cross Keys and W.F. Dykes High Schools, graduating from Dykes in 1968. I graduated from Auburn University (BA, Speech Communication) and Kennesaw State University (MBA). My husband Darrell and I met while on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ in San Bernardino, CA. Our wedding was at Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, with Dr. Bill Self officiating. ...Expand for more
We lived in Seattle for two years; where both of our children were born -- Carey in 1975 and Jane in 1976. We now have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Darrell passed away on October 6, 2017, after a long illness. He was a Vietnam Veteran; having fought with the 11th Armored Cavalry. I am now retired from the Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority.

We loved the storks we saw everywhere...this is taken from the Castillo in Manzanares. Manzanares el Real is a suburb of Madrid where our friends have their country house. We loved the village!
