Sally's Story
Life
I can't believe how many years it's been. Where does the time go?
It's been fun, though! I've traveled the United States, made a trip across the country in my trusty red convertible...well, from Maryland to Vegas...and had my camera with me every step of the way.
I've spent many years as a professional photographer, but finally burned out with the travel and decided to finally settle down for good.
During that time, I raised 4 sons. The oldest was on the front lines in the invasion of Iraq back in 2003 and did 2 tours of duty over there.
My second son graduated from Virginia Tech and has worked all over the country doing forestry. He's now back home after a year in Scotland getting his Masters degree at the University of Edinburgh and is living and working in Tennessee.
The third is out of the Army after serving two enlistments and several tours of duty in Iraq. He is back home and attending college. He hopes to become a colle...Expand for more
ge professor.
The fourth graduated from UNLV with a degree in Criminal Justice and returned this past year to get another degree in Political Science.
My husband, who grew up on Long Island, is an Executive Chef at an exclusive country club in Florida.
Along with photography, which is only a hobby now, I do antique doll restoration and build miniature houses.
My dream was to totally restore an old house, which I did 5 years ago. After I got it the way I wanted it, we moved to Florida!! Oh, well...now I have an ultra modern Florida style home.
I have one granddaughter, who lives in Florida, and a niece and several nephews who live in Cambridge. Believe it or not, my 6 year old niece rides the same school bus I used to ride!!!
Life for me has been great and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I've had some really wonderful opportunities, met many interesting people, married a fantastic man, and have 4 handsome and successful sons.
