You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.” ~ quote by Winnie the Pooh ♥ " When the Earth is sick the animals will begin to disappear. When that happens, the Warriors of the Rainbow will come and save them. " - Chief Seattle ☮Respect the elders, teach the young, cooperate with the pack, play when you☮ ☮can, hunt when you must, rest in between, share your affection, voice your☮ ☮feelings, leave your mark. ~ The simple life of a wolf... if only people would☮ ☮leave them be... ♥☮♥ "I hold that the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man" M. Gandhi (1869-1948) "Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to. " - Alfred A. Montapert "Until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things, man will not himself find peace." - Albert Schweitzer Think occasionally of that in which you spare yourself the sight" Adding a furry family member? Crowfeather of the Cherokee nation if you change the way you see things, the things you see will begin to change. "If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans." ~ James Herriot~ "Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way." Martin Luther King Jr. "There is a cycle of love and death that shapes the lives of those who choose to travel in the company of animals. It is a cycle unlike any other. To those who have never lived through its turnings or walked its rocky path, our willingness to give our hearts with full knowledge that they will be broken seems incomprehensible. Only we know how small a price we pay for what we received; our grief, no matter how powerful it may be,...Expand for more
is an insufficient measure of the joy we have been given." **Such joy I have had....RIP Fuzz & Clarence and all my beloved pets gone on ahead to the bridge.** Someone told me animals don't go to heaven. "Why?" I asked. "Because Jesus died for the sins of people, not animals," he answered. "You're correct," I responded. "Animals never commited sin. Their connnection with God was never broken. They never required redemption, which is why they've been able to redeem so many of us."~~Diane Ciarloni St. Francis you loved all created things, calling them your brothers and sisters. You have been named the patron of the enviroment.Help me follow your example of caring for all of creation, for our air, water, forests and all creatures particularly our pets. Watch over our world, and help me to care for all living things. "I am my brothers keeper, and I will fight his fight.and speak the word for beast and bird, till the world shall set things right." Native American Code of Ethics Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth – whether it be people or plant. Honor other people’s thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. They are part of your worldly family. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life’s lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of one’s will within this universe. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self – all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others – especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others. Share your good fortune with others. Participate in charity. ♥ Love & Ethics Always! ♥ None left to rescue, none left to buy, none left to suffer, none left to die. None to be beaten, none to be kicked...all must be loved and all must be fixed". Author Unknown".
