Sally's Story
As quite a few of my classmates at Oroville HS knew I married Jim Lerner (class of 67) shortly after graduation. Left California and never looked back. We had two wonderful sons that are now in their mid 40's.Jim and I parted ways after 17 pretty good years. My next two husbands passed away from health issues. My current husband, Jack and I have been married for over 10 years. I finally married my soul mate and love of my life.
I was in the Administrative field for 40 years. I took an early retirement from the State of WA and moved down to the southern most part of AZ in 2000. In 2008 Jack "retired" me and I have loved every minute of my "leisurely" days. Ha, so we think. Dad passed in 2002 and I took care of mom up until 6 months ...Expand for more
ago. She passed from Alzheimer's, extremely difficult the last 6 months of her life. I am finally at peace and love working on our 4 acres in Palominas, AZ, mowing lawns, running chain saws, etc. Always been a tomboy; never a girly girl. We live in the high plains desert in the SE corner of AZ. Between Bisbee and Tombstone. My husband is currently building an RV8 Vans Kit Plane in our shop. I have been Rosie the riveter and help my husband buck rivets. Never a dull moment in our lives. I have 3 grandchildren 9, 11, and 14. I travel up to WA state every summer to go visit them.
All in all my life has had its ups and down, but being a strong women and practical thinker, I have been like a cat and have landed on my feet every time.
