Sally's Story
as a Rotary Exchange student in Bucyrus January 1977 I was lucky enough to graduate with the Class of 77 that year and then go on to complete a further half year with the class of 78 before returning home to New Zealand. I went on to University in Wellington, NZ and completed a degree in Chemistry, married Derek Spence in 1981 and went on to do Pharmacy for the next 3 years. In 1988 we left NZ for 2-3 years and so far haven't made it back yet. We lived in England for a few years, had Chloe who is now studying medicine at Leicester University, UK. ere we had Haden (now 16 with 2 years of high school remaining). Greece was a gorgeous country to live in for a couple of years and for the last 11+ years we have been back in the UK living in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury (not too far from London). All the travelling was down to Derek's job and we have loved it all. I am writing on this now because I received a 30 year Class of 78 reunion postcard - sounds like fun. I was back in Bucyrus very briefly August of last year and it was lovely to catch up with just a few people. Such a special place.
