Sam's Story
First I'll clarify, although I started at Oak Grove, I indeed did not graduate from Oak Gove. I moved to a foreign country called upstate New York, finished H.S. there and attended college half heartedly.
I moved back to California in '75, brought back my love, got married and jumped headfirst into full time work, family and life. Had 2 children, now grown, 29 and 26, and now have twin grand sons and a grand daughter.
I attended college and worked hard in the classes I liked, got lousy grades. Didnt work hard in the classes that didnt really excite me, got great grades, and at the core of this untapped skillset were computers Alas my career and computers merged in the early 80's leading me to the point were I am now an old dinosaur on mainframes working in the Banking in...Expand for more

As life tends to throw challenges, recently my wife and I have had to intervene and secure guardianship of the twin 5 yr old grandsons. We have since discovered why young people tend to raise faimlies!
Anyway, we are adapting, and learning once more the joys of seeing life through the eyes of children.
At this time, i live in the Sierra mountains near Yosemite, work in the Walnut Creek area, by commuting in on Monday's and driving home on Fridays. It's during the week that I've found the time to to just play on the internet, and it was this free time that brought me to Classmates.
So Jon, Jay, Mike, Janet, Sharon Sue, Vivian, or anyone else for that matter, send me an email and we can catch up compare stories, and perhaps smile just a bit more often than before
