Sam Walk:  

Life Was born April 30, 1936, in San Antonio, TX., at the Brooke Army Medical Hosptial. Spent the first few years of my life in San Antonio. My daddy, William Arnold Walk, was a career army man. Lived in Ft. Worth, TX., for awhile and also Stillwater, OK. My daddy taught ROTC at a high school in Ft. Worth and at Oklahoma A&M. Moved to Meridian, TX., when I was in the second grade. I have one brother, Bill Walk, retired Texas Ranger. Deceased. One sister, Betty Murphy who lives in Waco, TX. I attended school at the Meridian Independent School District and graduated from high school in 1954. Played sports in High School. Served in the Army Signal Corps for three years. Worked in Radio Broadcasting from 1955 to 1995. Married Kathleen E. Leslie, April 7, 1957, in Colorado Springs, Co. My wife died on July 18, 2003, with heart attack. Have four children, John Jr.; Randall Rae.; Carol Ann and Michael Vance. All living....Expand for more
