Samuel's Story
Moved to Poughkeepsie in March 1965, Took a job at IBM Poughkeepsie. We have been in the Hudson Valley since. Bought out first house in May 1966 in the Town of East Fishkill NY, Number 1 son was born in June 1966. Number 2 son was born in March 1968. Moved to our 2nd house, still in East Fishkill, in May 1991., a few days before son #1 graduated from college. Poor timing for the move (circumstances beyond our control). oliday and retires them on a paid holiday as was her case. Retired from IBM in December 31, 1996. Then, worked for them as a consultant, contractor, and supplemental employee until August 2006. Worked in NYC for 2006 to 2008 for a stock trading software company. It was a great experience and allowed me to become much more familiar with NYC. We enjoyed many things in the city while I was working there. Trying to retire from my neighbor"s company at the present (10/2022). #2 son is in Florida with the grand kids, so we frequent there as much as we can.
