Life After high school i worked in a variety of Jobs, including building construction for a private contactor. then i decided to join the Air Force--my dad thought i would enjoy it. i was a Security Policeman at Whiteman Air Force Base Missouri, and Florennes Air Base Belgium, where i guarded nuclear missiles. Ronald Regan's INF Treaty with the Soviets, closed the base in Belgium, about three months after my 4-year enlistment was up. after i separated from the Air Force, i started attending Richland Community College for math, physics, languages, and art, and also joined the 183d Fighter Wing Air National Guard in Springfield, IL. i loved math and physics and wanted to be an electrical engineer, but couldn't keep up with my classes: Calculus 3, Physics 3, Chemistry 1, and ended up dropping everything but the math. i kept having to retake classes because of this, which explains my five-year career at Richland. after discovering the "new" Apple Macintosh computer (only a few years old then), i finally decided to start taking art classes towards graphic arts credits at ISU. about this time i met Darla (shortly after the RCC Shilling Center was newly built) who evolved into my steady girlfriend. i graduated from RCC with a couple degrees in math and language and left to continue my education at Illinois State University's school of art. there i got my degree in art with special focus in graphic design. by then i was also ...Expand for more
