Life
Hi everyone! After a great six years in the Hamptons and another six years prior in NYC I'm now living in Grosse Pointe, Michigan (yes, of "Grosse Pointe Blank" fame) with my family of two boys, Hunter and Alex, and my wife of eight years, Heather. Grey hair is officially making its debut.
I'm currently a VP and portfolio manager with a Michigan bank and also the chief investment officer for the bank's investment advisory unit. I'm active in the financial analyst community as one of maybe a hundred people who went through both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Market Technician programs and enjoy doing volunteer work to assist aspiring analysts, many of whom come from emerging countries. If it seems a little alien from the way I was in high school, well, maybe. But I still play guitar and up until recently was writing a modestly off-the-wall financial column for the Improper Magazine and Long Island Pulse Magazine.
Generally considering how I was in high school, I feel very fortunate how things have (so far) turned out. I'd never claim it's going perfect by any means, but when I think of the alternatives, I feel lucky.
And I am officially apologizing to Denise DiBlasi, who claimed at our 20th reunion that I put worms in her hair when we were kids. Even though I don't remember, I believe her and sincerely say I'm sorry once again. Denise has absolutely terrific hair that does not need any enhancement, worms or otherwise.
