Life Like the rest of you, I passed "the big 4-0", but decided instead to remain "thirty-eighteen"!!! (because as far as I'm concerned, "forty" is the "f-word".) And yes. in a few years, I will be "thirty-twenty!" After graduating from Marietta High School (Go Indians!) I briefly attended Cooke County College (Go Lions!) in Gainesville, Texas and then transferred to Southeastern Oklahoma State University (Go Savages!) in Durant, Oklahoma. There I met and married my now ex husband and the rest is history, and now it's ALL history! After college graduation, I spent several years as a stay at home mommie to two of the best things that every happened to me: Manette and Lucretia. They were brilliant, beautiful gifts from God as babies and have grown into brilliant beautiful women. They are my best friends. Manette Ch'von, 25, is a 2003 graduate of Durant High School (go Lions!) where she was a member of the debate team and honor student. 'Nette also took college courses at Southeastern Oklahoma State University (go Savages!) during her Senior year, before transferring to East Central University (go Tigers!) where she graduated with honors in 2007. She is very active in politics. Manette is now awaiting the birth of her first child, more importantly MY FIRST GRANDCHILD, around Thanksgiving. Lucretia D'nae, 21, graduated as a "Soonior" (that's a cross between a Senior and Junior...she elected to graduate a year early) from Kingston High School (go Redskins!) in 2005 and also attended classes at Southeastern her last year of high school. While in high school, 'Cretia was active in theater, dance, and drama and in her spare time played guitar. After graduation, she joined her sister at East Central as a theater major.
