Sandi's Story
Life
I married a military man in 1969, after being married for 6 months we were transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. That was quite a shock, as I had never been away from Norfolk or associated with different groups of people. We stayed there for 1 1/2 yrs then moved to Lewes, Delaware (where my first child was born in 1973) then we requested to go back to Cuba where we spent the next 6 yrs (my daughter was born there in 1975)then back to the states to Memphis, TN, then we moved around to different lo...Expand for more
cations as my husband was going through schools. i moved back to Va Beach and he was transferred to Jacksonville, FL. He passed away suddenly in 1980. I also had another son born in Portsmouth. I moved to SC in 1986 and love it !!!!!! I live in a small town community setting (25 miles from Santee, 1 hour from Charleston and Columbia and 1 1/2 hrs from Myrtle Beach, SC.

When I was in High School I was VERY shy and quiet...People who have known me for the past 30 years can not believe that....
