UPDATE:
I'm retired now, but haven't stopped doing what I love ... desktop publishing/graphic design/feature writing. I've been busy creating newspapers, special sections, even menus for a steakhouse chain! I love doing this kind of thing! Note: I designed and had printed the ACHS Class of '63 50-year reunion book! Perhaps you have a reunion coming up that needs a book to go with it??? Contact me!!
Life
On May 6, 2020, I lost my husband and best friend of almost 54 years, following a long, difficult struggle to recover from his Feb. 5 stroke. My family, friends and classmates have been so supportive as I now look to a future without him. We have two daughters (one works for NASA in DC,...Expand for more
the other is a pilot for International Jet) and one son who lives here in Kearney and is enjoying retirement and traveling to other countries with his wife. Our children have given us eight grandchildren and three bonus grandchildren.
School
My biggest crush was Ricky Nelson. If I could do high school over again, I would in a heartbeat! It was great to be a kid back then!! Among my memories are Holly's Nash Rambler with push-button drive, cruises through Lowery Air Force Base, the drive-in on Colfax, the drive-in theater, decorating our cars with green and white streamers on game days, slumber party at Fitzsimons Army base and running around in our baby-dolls!
Bring back those days!!!
