I worked for the state, The Judiciary for 10 years after high school. This is were I met my husband. When I had my first son in 1981, I quit my job and stayed home. This was the best decision I ever made. I love being home, I loved raising my children (two boys and a girl) and I love the closeness we have as a family. by. As long as I was home before the kids or at school with them, my time was my own. My husband was a State Trooper (retired now) so his schedule was my schedule. It was a crazy schedule too, shift work that changed daily. I truly don't know how I would have done it if I had to go to work at a 9-5 job everyday. Sure, things were tight, but we still had fun. Our vacations were usually camping in state camp grounds or staying home swimming in the back yard pool. And since I was home, there were always a lot of kids in the yard. These are some of the best memories. I wouldn't change a thing!!!
