Sandra's Story
In 1963 my parents divorced and I was taken from my friends and my school to Manhattan Beach, where I NEVER fit it. I had gone to school with everyone at CVHS since kindergarten and the move was really bad on me. My heart is with CVHS and the people that graduated in 1964!
After HS, I got married...this lasted 4 years and I ended up back home with the parents after a divorce. Then about 2 years later I met my husband, we had 4 kids (2 boys & 2 girls) and ended up living in Anaheim in O.C. (there is a lot of other places we lived, but that was our home where we ended up (finally) raising the kids. After 24 years of marriage we ended up divorced. I got tired of his drinking himself into a full on stupor and filed for divorce.

Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After 6 surgeries I am now cancer free and almost completely rebuilt. I was one of the lucky ones!
My best friend for the last 20 years is
amazing. He has been there for me through my divorce, issues with the kids, and my cancer. He has been a very good friend. I know he will always be there for me no matter what.
I am still working as a CFO of a small corporation in Irvine and go into the office every day. I do not plan on retiring just yet as I want to continue to use my mind and not lose any more cells to inactivity.
So...that's some of what I have been doing since I left CVHS. There is more...I have 9 grandchildren too!!
