Sandra's Story
Life
Let's see.....I married Jack Shepard in 1957 and moved to Salins, Ks for 5 years...He was Stationed at Schilling AFB there....then he got stationed at Brize Norton, England, 20 miles from Oxford....I joined him a few months later....we lived there for three and a half years and adopted our son there....we lived in a very old house (500 yrs or so) and I loved every minute of it.....we traveled all over England, Scotland, and Europe....I especially loved Edinburgh and Northern Scotland.....it was so wonderful to see so many historic and lovely places!....to actually touch Hadrian's Wall and Stonehenge.....see the Roman remains in Bath and so many other places......we also got to be in Protocol....(I guess because we ...Expand for more
cleaned up nice).....from there we went to Selfridge which was nice as both our families live in the Detroit area...from there he went to Thailand for a year and I went to Reno....then Japan.....I taught English there in a boys school as a volunteer....also learned to speak some Japanese....wonder of wonders, I had my daughter there....my miracle child.....then to Nellis AFB, NV for a while....followed by Jack going to Da Nang, Viet Nam....he died in a car accident....I remarried after a few years to a man named Ray......23 years and fell apart....currently I am married to Paul....we travel some and enjoy life.....so much more but how to tell it all....I am without a doubt one of the luckiest of women.....Namaste` Sandy
